I'm a versatile creative professional with a background in digital storytelling, brand communication, and content creation. After graduating from the University of California Irvine in 2011 with an English degree, I've built a career that spans social media management, art direction, copywriting, and photography.
2011-2017: BRAND COMMS + SOCIAL
At Hurley/Nike, I focused on digital brand communication, growing their Instagram organically from zero to one million followers and developing seasonal campaigns that connected products with compelling athlete stories told across digital and in person touch points. My approach blended strategic marketing with authentic storytelling, creating engaging content that resonated with audiences.
2019 - 2021: SOCIAL + COPY
Moving to HATCH Collection, I took on a comprehensive role as a solo content creator. I managed all social media, conducted art direction, produced photography, wrote copy, and developed an influencer program. This experience showcased my ability to handle multiple creative responsibilities effectively.
2021: COPYWRITING
At quip, I worked as a copywriter developing engaging content for both packaging and digital platforms. I crafted compelling copy that communicated the brand's mission of simplifying oral care while maintaining a consistent voice across different customer touchpoints.
2022 - PRESENT: ART DIRECTION + COPYWRITING
Since 2022, I've served as the art director and copywriter for hurley.com, where I've been the creative catalyst driving the brand's digital narrative through strategic design and compelling storytelling. During a period of ownership changes and industry shifts, I've maintained Hurley's creative integrity by casting and art directing studio ecommerce shoots, developing seasonal taglines, designing email templates, and ensuring visual consistency across websites, emails, and paid media. By combining art direction and copywriting, I streamline the creative process, delivering integrated designs that capture the brand's voice while anticipating its future direction.
2024 - PRESENT: VIDEOGRAPHY
At present, I’m having the time of my life creating Susan Alexandra TikTok content that captures the brand's colorful and playful aesthetic, helping to build their social media presence and engage with their audience through creative short-form videos.
2015 - PRESENT: PHOTOGRAPHY
My photography evolved from a personal interest to a professional skill. What started as a hobby quickly turned into commissioned work for brands and creators — but it also morphed into my business, CLIQUE Travel, where I document vacation properties and adventurous travel.
